Sad News. 3/25/10
It is with great sadness that I must inform you of a tragic loss within the Battalion.
As many of you have no doubt heard, a medical helicopter went down early this morning east of Memphis, near Brownsville. All three aboard lost their lives. One of those crew members was the father of our own Jonathan Phillips.
Jonathan is a member of the evening class but has often been on the Quarterdeck at 0530 as well. He’s the finest of young men and a new husband.
May I ask you to take a moment now and remember Jonathan and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Jonathan, our hearts are heavy with this saddest of news. Please know that you are fixed in our minds and in our prayers without ceasing.
