Elephants, Mickey Mouse, Boot Camp — Newsletter for 11 Feb 2009

Wednesday, Feb. 11th 2009 1:47 PM

What I would like for you to do is NOT think about elephants.

Do NOT think about Mickey Mouse.

Do NOT think about going to Boot Camp.

Did you NOT think about those things? Great. Keep NOT thinking about them.

Elephants, Mickey Mouse, Boot Camp.

OK, seriously, STOP thinking about them. Do NOT think about a momma elephant and her little baby elephant.

STOP thinking about Mickey Mouse and Disney World.

STOP thinking about the awesome feeling of accomplishment when I say “YOU’RE DISMISSED!!” at Boot Camp!

And I do NOT want you to think about these things when you get in your car later today. When you turn the key, do NOT think about elephants, Mickey Mouse, or Boot Camp!

How are you doing so far? Are you NOT thinking about those things? Elephants, Mickey Mouse, and Boot Camp!

Thoughts become things, don’t they? And the power of suggestion is powerful indeed!

Your success in losing weight, getting in shape, and being fit begin with your intentions and your thoughts. What you focus on, you’ll manifest.

I will tell you about two things I’m focusing on. They’re not too difficult or abstract. And you can help me achieve these things.

Here are the two things:

Number 1: I’ve been saying that I was going to learn to sail for years. This year I’m going to learn. I need a sailboat. So, you are going to think about a sailboat for me. You don’t have to buy me one, unless you just WANT to. But the next time you see me, I want you to think about me on a sailboat … probably sailing away from you never to come back, right? ha ha ha And if you won’t be seeing me for a while, just imagine me on a sailboat. Right now!

Number 2: I’ve wanted Boot Camp to grow so much that we’d have 100 people at the 0530 class! A few years ago I said that if we had 100 people at the 0530 class that I’d shave my head and wear a pink toto. So, this is what I want you to do. Every time you have a chance, I want you to invite a friend to Boot Camp. Not only will that person get the same benefits that you get, but they will help us reach the 100 person goal. For those of you in the other classes, here are the goals: 30 at the 0830 class and 50 at the 5:45 PM evening class!!!

Disclaimer:
I’m not a person who is motivated much by money. Now, don’t get me wrong, just like you, I need money and I’d like to make more of it. But money doesn’t get me going in the morning. I’m motivated by helping people, messing with people, connecting with people, coaching people, abusing people, and inspiring people to succeed, all in an atmosphere of fun, laughter, and a culture of positive energy! Having 100 people at 0530 is about the opportunity that number represents for me to do the things I’m motivated by.

I’m also motivated by representing my beloved Marine Corps! But you already knew that!

OK, here are your assignments:

1. I want you to think about and focus on the thing or things you want to be or have. You may need to write these things down.

2. I want you to think about my sailboat.

3. I want you to think about 100 people at the 0530 class, 30 people at the 0830 class, and 50 people at the evening class.

That’s it. Just think. Just focus. Let’s see how fast these things will happen! I’ll let you know when we succeed!

As much as you can, put some positive light out there into the world!

Expect good things!

Look for good things!

Be a good thing!

PAYING FOR BOOT CAMP

Just a reminder that payment in cash if fine, but checks are best. You can also pay online on the website (www.usmcfitnessbootcamp.com)

When you pay by check, would you please write in the “memo” section of your check, or the memo section of the online pay section, what month(s) the check is for, I’d really appreciate it.

Also, if the name printed on the check is different from your name, please write the boot camper’s name on the memo line too!

If you want to set up an automatic payment sent in the mail by your bank, the mailing address is

If you prefer to pay in cash, please let me ask you to put the money in an envelope with your name and month(s) you’re paying for on the outside of the envelope?

Doing these things will help to ensure that my bookkeeping is on track and accurate. Thank you very much for your help!
