DRAMA! — Newsletter for 4 February 2009

Wednesday, Feb. 4th 2009 1:24 PM

Have you ever noticed that some people just seem to have crappy days?

You know the people I’m talking about. They’re always broke, always sick, always bored, always angry, always being dumped on, always getting a speeding ticket, always being laid off, always driving crummy cars that never start, always blaming others, always in dead end jobs, always have sick kids, always getting taken advantage of, always having some sort of drama in their lives, always nitpicking, always critical, always judgmental, always a doormat, always …

It’s always negative in their world.

Do you know people like that?

They are living proof of the proverb that “the way you process the world around you determines the world you live in.”

The way you process the world around you, the way you interpret the things around you, will determine the world you live in.

It’s also true that the way you misunderstand the world around you, the way you misinterpret the actions and words of others, the darker and more negative your world will be.

Boot Camper Daniel Shaffer is at the center of a positivity movement at his work. Daniel is in sales for The Redbirds and has spearheaded a project there to help keep he and his co-workers focused on positive things, the things they are thankful for, the things that make for creating an environment and atmosphere of goodness. Each morning as they begin their work day they write something on a board that they’re thankful for.

That’s awesome Daniel!!

The Law of Attraction, The Secret, The Golden Rule and every major religion teaches that there is a relationship between what you put out into the world and what you get back. There is a relationship between the things you think about and the things you become. There is a relationship between your energy and the energy around you. There is a relationship between what you look for and what you find.

Some of you know that I write a regular column for the children’s magazine Jabberblabber. In this month’s column I mentioned two of my coaches. Here is part of what I wrote:

“Coach McKinney was one of my coaches in school. He wasn’t one of my favorites. He always called us hurtful names, got angry at us, and told us that we were no good. He always pointed out our mistakes and called us losers. But Coach Henderson was different. He pushed us to be our best and always told us that we were going to be WINNERS! Coach Henderson expected the best from us and we tried hard to live up to his hopes for us. We were winners with him!”

As much as you can, put some positive light out there into the world around you!
Expect good things!
Look for good things!
Be a good thing!

PAYING FOR BOOT CAMP

Just a reminder that payment in cash if fine, but checks are best. You can also pay online on the website (www.usmcfitnessbootcamp.com)

When you pay by check, would you please write in the “memo” section of your check, or the memo section of the online pay section, what month(s) the check is for, I’d really appreciate it.

Also, if the name printed on the check is different from your name, please write the boot camper’s name on the memo line too!

If you want to set up an automatic payment sent in the mail by your bank, the mailing address is

If you prefer to pay in cash, please let me ask you to put the money in an envelope with your name and month(s) you’re paying for on the outside of the envelope?

Doing these things will help to ensure that my bookkeeping is on track and accurate. Thank you very much for your help!
