Have you recovered from the Christmas rush and the visiting relatives?
Oh? YOU were the visiting relative?
Oh well, I’m sure they weren’t happy to see you go.
Anyway … are you ready to “lose weight in 2008?”
Did you see the finale of “The Biggest Loser” last week?
For those living in a cave, “The Biggest Loser” is a reality TV show about morbidly obese people’s struggles to lose weight and get in shape. The person who loses the highest percentage of weight wins $250,000! I watched it for the first time and thought it was truly amazing!

You’ve all enjoyed an exercise called “Starting Jim Steiner’s Woodchipper.”
No, that’s not the exercise’s official name. I mean, you won’t find that name in any fitness book because Jim was one of us, a Boot Camper.
Jim’s wife, Carole, gave him a month of Boot Camp as a Christmas present in 1999. Jim arrived and wasted NO time making a difference! He quickly became everyone’s favorite “older brother.”

This is pretty good.
This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where you could read it every day. (Since I sort of work from home, I use my bathroom mirror as a “white board.” I write “to do” items, reminders, and quotes on the mirror with dry erase markers. Pretty clever, eh?)

Today I’d like to talk to you about being a failure in 2008.
How ‘bout that for a topic?
Remember that famous scene in the movie “Apollo 13”? When Ed Harris playing NASA Flight Director, Gene Kranz, said, “Failure is NOT an option!”
In one very general sense, failure is always an option, isn’t it?
