got hgh?

HGH, or human growth hormone, is produced naturally by our bodies or can be taken as a synthetic injection. The synthetic kind of HGH is the one that’s all the buzz.

HGH is produced in large quantities in our bodies when we’re children. They help our bones, muscles, and internal organs to develop and grow. HGH levels drop off as we age. Research scientists have discovered that injecting older patients with synthetic HGH has, in many cases, a remarkable “younging” affect. Although doctors can prescribe it for growth deficiencies in adults, more and more people are using the synthetic form of HGH to turn back the hands of time.

Sylvester Stallone was recently charged by Australian Customs Officials for attempting to smuggle 48 vials of HGH into their country.

HGH advocates claim that it causes the ticking clock to stop in its place and you actually begin to feel stronger and younger. It’s the fountain of youth, the proponents say.

At $2,000 to $3,000 per month, it’s an expensive fountain to dip into.

But does it work?

As with most things, there are advocates and critics. Thing is, it’s illegal to get a prescription for HGH just for the purpose of treating aging. Doctors who prescribe HGH for their adult patients who simply want it for beating back Father Time, have to be pretty creative in writing the prescriptions.

If you look at Sly Stallone’s face, you’ll see that HGH doesn’t discriminate in how it causes growth. It’s like taking a muscle relaxer for jacked up back muscles. (Gee, do I know anyone who’s done THAT?). The muscle relaxer doesn’t just relax the muscle in spasm, it relaxes ALL of the muscles. When HGH does its thing, it may cause parts of your body to grow and develop in ways that you never intended or wanted.

Is it possible for adults to cause the body to naturally produce more HGH without the injections? Natural HGH knows not to make your nose bigger or to increase the size of your heart. Natural HGH applies the growth in the right places. So can you trigger your body to produce more HGH naturally?

Yes!

Recent studies have indicated that through diet and exercise, natural HGH levels can increase! The natural HGH knows what needs to be stimulated in your body, unlike the synthetic kind.

Who knew that diet and exercise would be ANOTHER answer to the whole health and wellness question??

So what foods and what exercises, you ask?

Foods with low glycemic indexes are best. For example: beans, green vegetables, apples, lentils, soy or skim milk, fish, all bran cereals, whole wheat or protein-enriched pastas.

What exercises? Get ready … here it comes … its intervals! Short, intense bursts, either running or cycling, will boost HGH levels. Want ideas about how to trigger HGH levels? Talk to me at Boot Camp and I’ll give you suggestions on interval workouts guaranteed to boost your HGH levels!

WHAT’S LEFT ON THE TABLE TO EAT?
Recently during a BOOT CAMP huddle, I was asked about meals and times to eat in order to lose weight. I answered by explaining that it’s probably not a good idea to eat within 2 hours of going to bed. But here’s what I recommended to the group that day. Do the math and figure out how many calories you should have in a day in order to lose weight. (Assign 7 calories per 1 pound of body weight, not to go below 1000 calories for the day) And then imagine that you’ve got a table with all of the food that you can have in the day spread out on that table. Now, you can eat it all at once for breakfast and be done for the day or you can graze throughout the day. Or you can divide the contents of the table into 3 meals, or 5 small meals, or you could wait and eat it all for your evening meal. The key thing is total calories consumed for the day. Personally, I’d recommend that you have 3 or more meals each day, not to exceed the total number of calories for that particular day. So, imagine the table set … Bon appetit!
