Here are BOOT CAMP’S DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS
1. Losing weight is 75% about your eating and drinking habits and only 25% about what you do.
2. Being fit and in shape is 75% about what you do and only 25% about what you eat.
3. The average heart rate of your tempo runs and your BOOT CAMP weight workouts are probably about the same.
4. It’s possible to be fit AND FAT.
5. It’s possible to be skinny AND horribly unfit and out of shape.
6. BOOT CAMPER’s who say they’ll do their cardio workouts “on their own,” seldom do.
7. Male Boot Campers who have been in The Battalion for more than a month and who use less than 15 pound dumbbells, ought to wear a skirt.
8. Women won’t get big bulky muscles at BOOT CAMP.
9. Liquid calories are still calories.
10. If you’re a 0530 BOOT CAMPER and find yourself getting really sleepy in the afternoon, try eating a light lunch (as opposed to a full fledged lunch). You’ll be less likely to hit that 2 PM sleepy wall.

THREE CHEERS FOR ASHLEY WEST!
Newly inducted Hall of Famer and recently promoted Sergeant Major Mom, Ashley West gave birth to Samuel Peter on Thursday! Master Samuel arrived doing mountain climbers and weighing in at 8lb 12oz. His momma WAS at BOOT CAMP on Wednesday morning, the day before the young lad arrived, and she was doing mountain climbers!!!

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING
Our own Kathryn Grissom, a 0530 BOOT CAMPER, was diagnosed with breast cancer this week. (Kathryn was also at BOOT CAMP this week … THREE TIMES!!!) She authorized me to share the following information with you, hoping that you’ll remember her in your prayers. Her doctors have given her a very positive prognosis. She’ll have a lumpectomy the first week of April, followed by radiation treatments. (Chemotherapy hasn’t been determined yet.) Please put Kathryn on your prayer list and remember her often. Hang in there, Kathryn!

THINGS TO DO WHILE YOU’RE ALIVE
Visa, the “credeeek card” company, had an ad in one of my magazines that has the following list:

• Stay at a five-star hotel and upgrade your room
See the Northern Lights
• Take a train ride on the Orient Express
• Go to the Galapagos Islands

• Have a Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues
Get a spa treatment that requires a team
• Go to the end of the earth

Visa wants you to do these things hoping you’ll charge it. I share this list with you to get your creative juices flowing. I want you to live your life to its fullest!!
