Sergeant Tony Named Dannielynn’s Father

Monday, Feb. 12th 2007 3:50 PM

Just when you thought the whole Anna Nicole thing couldn’t get any stranger, the potential daddies continue to pop up EVERYWHERE. So, with so much money at stake, maybe Sergeant Tony had something to do with Dannielynn’s paternity.

It could happen!!!

I joke, but it truly IS a sad sad story for everyone … except maybe astronaut Lisa Nowak. Captain Lisa is glad to get bumped off the front page.

Movie Reviews From the Weekend
I saw “Smokin’ Aces” over the weekend and thought it was very good. I’ll give it 3 shotguns out of 5. It’s a mobster/FBI/shoot ‘em up movie with crazy hit men and over the top characters. It’s NOT a Valentine’s Day date movie. And you probably wouldn’t want to take yo’ momma to see it. But the writing and directing are excellent and all of the principal actors turn in really good performances. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but for guys especially it’ll be a good one to see. Think “Reservoir Dogs” and “The Usual Suspects.”

The Grammy’s
The Dixie Chicks won several of the little statues Sunday night. I wasn’t much of a Chicks fan before the less intelligent one ran her mouth in England in 2003, just days before the invasion of Iraq. Natalie Maines, speaking about Mr. Bush in London, said, “Just so you know, we’re ashamed the President is from Texas.” After listening to her ramble and stammer and babble last night while gushing, with neither class nor eloquence, I understand why she has problems with public speaking. All that not withstanding, Ms. Maines, as an American citizen, has the right to free speech and I’d defend her right to speak her mind anywhere she wants … on American soil. Oh, John Mayer rocked!

John C. Maxwell
If you ever get a chance to hear John Maxwell speak, take it! He said something very interesting about experience. He said that experience is NOT the best teacher! What? I’d always thought that it was. I’d always thought that experience WAS the best teacher. He explained, “Experience isn’t the best teacher. Evaluated experience is the best teacher.” “Reflection turns experience into insight,” he said. Learning from experience by evaluating it and reflecting on it is the thing that makes experience valuable. Good stuff!
